How to File claim for comScore Data Collection Settlement?

Learn how to file a claim for ComScore Privacy Class Action Settlement at DataCollectionSettlement.net to get monetary benefits of about $200.

ComScore has decided to end the three years long class action lawsuit for privacy violations. The company will pay $14 million as compensation to affected customers. All the people who had downloaded and installed comScore’s software on their computer and used it for interstate commerce and/or communication between January 01, 2005 and May 30, 2014 are the class members of this privacy class action settlement. Class members have to submit a claim form to get monetary benefits from the ComScore Privacy Class Action Settlement.

Internet Privacy

In 2011, Plaintiffs filed a class action lawsuit claiming that comScore used its data collection software named RelevantKnowledge or PremierOpinion to unlawfully collect private information from 1000s of consumers’ computers and sold it to third parties. Thus, it violated federal privacy laws: the Stored Communications Act, the Electronic Communications Privacy Act and the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act.
As a part of settlement, ComScore will modify its disclosures and the process for obtaining consent for the download and installation of its data collection software. The company denies any wrongdoing but agreed to settle the class action lawsuit for avoiding risk and expenses.

How to Submit a Claim Form?

If you are a class member, then you must file claim for settlement by submitting a claim form before December 30, 2014. There are two ways to submit the claim form:

Online: Logon to DataCollectionSettlement.net and hit the “File a Claim” option on the left side of homepage. After that, follow the instructions to submit the claim form.

Mail: Download and printout the copy of claim form from the official website of the settlement. Then, complete the form and mail it to Dunstan et al. v. comScore, Inc. Settlement Administrator, P.O. Box 43273, Providence, RI 02940-3273.

Eligible Class Members will get about $200 from the comScore class action settlement once the court approves the Settlement on final hearing.
