How to Claim for JPMorgan over force-placed insurance Settlement?

Consumers charged by JPMorgan Chase between Jan 1, 2008 and Oct 4, 2013 as an insured or additional insured for a hazard LPI policy can claim for partial refund at saccocciosettlementinfo.com.

JPMorgan Chase and insurer Assurant Inc. have agreed to pay a total of $300 million to resolve allegations that they forced homeowners for buying expensive property insurance. Under this class-action lawsuit settlement, Chase, Assurant Inc. and several of their affiliates will pay Class Members a refund of 12.5% on their net annual premiums. Millions of homeowners who took out a mortgage with JP Morgan Chase since 2008 are expected to receive benefits under the settlement. Even though JPMorgan Chase entered into the class action settlement agreement in September 2013, a final approval hearing has been scheduled for February 14, 2014. At this hearing, the Court will determine whether the Settlement is fair, reasonable and adequate.

JPMorgan Force-Placed Insurance Settlement

Under the settlement, the class consists of all individuals in the U.S. who, between January 1, 2008 and October 4, 2013, were insured under a hazard LPI (Lender Placed Insurance) policy for residential property and who, during the Class Period have either (a) paid the Chase Defendants the charged premium (all or a portion of the premiums) for that policy, or (b) did not pay and still owe, the premiums for such force-placed policy.

Upon Court approval of the Settlement, all eligible Class Members who submit a valid claim will receive either: (a) a partial refund if they’ve paid all or a portion of the premium; or (b) a credit towards what they currently owe Chase Defendants, if they’ve not paid the premium for the hazard LPI policy.

Claim For Settlement Benefits

To receive a partial refund or credit towards what you currently owe, you must fill out and submit a claim form within sixty days after the Final Settlement Date. 2. No, you will not receive the refund in Jan 2014. The final hearing was just Feb 2014 and they state you will receive the refund of 12.5% of the premium within 180 days. The deadline to submit a claim form is June of 2014.

  6. As of this date we know that a refund of 12.5% is coming splitting $300mil and another $700mil in relief but with over 700,000 class members , its easy to do the math ,we dont get much for the damage that chase has done to us . Thebonesathome @ yahoo
