The company uses phrases like "100% Juice," "100% Fruit," "From Concentrate," "All Natural," "All Natural Fruit," "All Natural Fruit + Boosts" and "Non-GMO" on their fruit juice products, but class member and Pepsi disagree with such statements that’s why they claimed that Naked Juice Company made false statements about their products. Company does not want argue over their claims that it falsely advertised some of juices and smoothies, and so agreed to a $9 million class action settlement. Individuals who have bought naked juice product between Sept. 27, 2007 and Aug. 19, 2013; then you are eligible to send claim form electronically or through mail till 17th December, 2013. If you have still proof of purchase, then you are eligible for up to $75 otherwise you are eligible for up to $45 without proof. The refund amount is based on how much you spent on naked juice.
The lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court for the Central District of California and claimed the company dishonored state and federal laws and customer protection statues associated to advertising, labeling and marketing of certain products. However, the naked juice company has repudiated the claim and has agreed to change its labels to remove the alleged misrepresentation. In addition, they will also set up a verification program to verify the accuracy of the ingredients contained in its products.
