AmeriCredit has agreed to end a class action lawsuit by paying between $6.5 million and $8.5 million as compensation to the class members. People who received prerecorded call on their phones from December 30, 2007 to November 14, 2014 are the class members of the Settlement.
Plaintiffs filed a class action lawsuit against AmeriCredit claiming that the company violated the federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) by making calls to consumers' phone using an ATDS or prerecorded voice message without their permission. AmeriCredit denies the claims but agreed to settle the lawsuit for avoiding the cost, risk and delay of trial.
Class members are required to call the Settlement Administrator at 1-877-651-4179, 24 to confirm whether their phone number is on the Class Member List or not. If your number is on the Class Member List, then file a claim online or via mail before March 26, 2015.

Class members who submitted the Claim Form without any proof will get up to $30 per cell phone number dialed.
Class members who submitted proof of how many calls he/she received from AmeriCredit will get up to $60 for 2-5 calls, $90 for 6-10 calls, $120 for 11-15 calls and $150 for more than 15 calls.
