A proposed settlement has been reached in a class action lawsuit involving Gateway Inc., an American computer hardware company that manufactures and markets a range of personal PCs, monitors, servers and computer accessories. The lawsuit claimed that the company sold defective XHD3000 monitors and also made misleading statements about the display’s performance. The monitors have been alleged of suffering from defects such as flickering images, odd green bands across the screen, and even a complete screen failure. Gateway denies all these claims but has agreed to a settlement valued at up to $1.5 million just to resolve the ongoing litigation.
You’re an Eligible Class Member of this Settlement if you meet all the following requirements:
Each and every eligible Class Member who submits a valid and timely claim will receive $195 in cash for each monitor purchased.
There are two ways to submit Claim Forms:
A) Online: Visit the Settlement’s official website at www.GatewayXHD3000Monitor.com and click on the orange ‘File Claim’ link to fill out an online form. You will also be asked to attach some kind of proof showing that you purchased the monitor. So, remember if you've bought more than one monitor, you’ll be required to provide a proof of purchase for each monitor.
B) By Mail: You should have got the claim form with your notice in the mail. And if you didn't get in the mail, then you can download the same online from the website.
