Class members of Bright House Networks Class Action Settlement can claim on BrightHouseClassActionSettlement.com to get benefits from the settlement.
Bright House Networks has agreed to settle a class action lawsuit over violation of antitrust law. All the current and former customers of BHN who subscribed for digital cable and paid a monthly rental fee for an accompanying set-top box between February 2005 and August 19, 2014 are eligible for getting benefits from the Bright House Networks class action settlement.
Plaintiff, Karen Parsons filed a class action lawsuit against the company on Feb. 10, 2009 claiming that it involved in a practice of requiring Premium Cable subscribers to lease set-top box. Thus, BHN violates Section 1 of the Sherman Antitrust Act. BHN refuses the claims but agreed to end the lawsuit for avoiding the risk and expenses of ongoing lawsuit.
Class members have to submit a form to get compensation from the settlement. Current customers of BHN are required to submit an Election Form available at BrightHouseClassActionSettlement.com whereas, the former customers of BHN can submit a claim form available at the official website of settlement. They can also get a claim form by calling 1-866-742-4955.
The Election Form or claim form must be submitted before April 15, 2015. Current customer will get a $30 account credit for services and former customers will receive a cash payment of $20 from BHN. The final hearing of the case is on January 30, 2015.
