Hyundai MPG Class Action Settlement 2015

If you bought or leased certain Hyundai vehicles before Nov. 2, 2012 can claim into the Hyundai MPG Class Action Settlement on HyundaiMPGClassSettlement.com.

Class Action Lawsuit

If you bought or leased 2011, 2012 and 2013 model year Hyundai vehicles, then you may be eligible to receive reimbursement from the Hyundai MPG Class Action Settlement. Hyundai Motor America and Hyundai Motor Company have agreed to settle the class action lawsuits over MPG (Miles Per Gallon) claims. Class members have to submit a claim form for receiving cash payment or other benefits from the settlement.

A number of class action lawsuits were filed against Hyundai Motor America (HMA) after it issued a statement on November 2, 2012, that it was voluntarily decreasing the fuel economy ratings of vehicles. Plaintiffs claim that before November 2, 2012, Hyundai misrepresented the fuel economy ratings or miles per gallon of their certain 2011, 2012 and 2013 model year vehicles.

They also claimed that they would not have bought the vehicles if they know this before. According to Plaintiffs, the Lifetime Reimbursement Program instituted by HMA is not enough to compensate affected vehicle owners. HMA refused these claims but ready to end these lawsuits to avoid further expenses of ongoing proceedings.

Current/former owner or lessee of vehicles included in the settlement on or before Nov. 2, 2012 are the class members of the settlement. Rental Fleet Owners, government entities (excluding the extent that a government entity is the owner or lessee of a Fleet Class Vehicle), judges assigned to the lawsuit and individuals who have already executed a release of Hyundai for claims concerning the fuel economy of a Class Vehicle are not eligible for benefits from the settlement.
