Who are eligible Members of Transpacific Airline Settlement?
Those who purchased atleast one Airline Ticket between the U.S. and Asia/Oceania during the time period of January 1, 2000 to the effective date of the settlement.Governmental entities; officers, directors, employees/ defendants in the lawsuits and people who bought tickets of Korean Air Lines, Ltd. and/or Asiana Airlines, Inc. between the U.S. and the Republic of Korea are excluded from the settlement.
Claims
Plaintiffs claim that these 13 airlines (Defendants) and their co-conspirators used alliances, trade associations and other means to fix tickets prices for air travel between the US and Asia, Australia, New Zealand or the Pacific Islands. Thus, the defendants violated antitrust laws. As a result of price-fixing, international air passengers paid more prices for the tickets.Potential Award
Class Members are eligible to get cash benefits from the settlement on pro-rata basis. The settlement fund will be paid in five different settlement pools:- JALSettlement Class
