Deepwater Horizon Settlement on DeepwaterHorizonSettlements.com

Businesses and individuals who were affected by the largest oil spill in U.S history, the Deepwater Horizon accident can claim compensation from the Deepwater Horizon Settlement. Deepwater Horizon oil explosion occurred on April 20, 2010 in the Gulf of Mexico. BP has settled a class-action lawsuit over the spill claims regarding economic loss and property damage. The company refused the claims, but has agreed to pay $7.8 billion class action lawsuit settlement to resolve the lawsuit.

Businesses and individuals who have any economic loss or property damage by the BP oil spill can get money from a class action settlement. There are two different legal settlement classes: Economic & Property Damages Class (E&PD Class) and Medical Benefits Class. You can take part in one or both settlement classes. Both settlement classes have different claim forms.

E&PD Class

Individuals, businesses, and other entities who suffered from economic loss or property damage fall in E&PD Class. You can get compensation if you were harmed because of the oil spill in one of these categories: seafood compensation, business economic loss, individual economic loss, loss of subsistence, vessels physical damage, Voo charter payment, coastal real property damage, wetlands real property damage, and real property sales loss.

Eligible class members of E&PD Class are required to submit a claim form for getting payments from the class action settlement. You can submit the Claim Form by two ways: online and mail. To file a claim online, visit Deepwaterhorizoneconomicsettlement.com and hit the “Claim Forms” tab given on top of the page. Then, hit the link “Click Here to Submit Your Claim Online” and follow the instructions to submit a form.
To file a claim via mail, print a copy of the Claim Form from Deepwaterhorizoneconomicsettlement.com and mail it to Deepwater Horizon Economic Claims Center, P.O. Box 1439, Hammond, LA 70404-1439. You must file a claim before April 22, 2014.

Medical Benefits Class

People who resided in the U.S. as of April 16, 2012 fall in Medical Benefits Class. Medical Benefits Class Members can submit the Claim Form online or by mail. To file a claim online, visit Deepwaterhorizonmedicalsettlement.com and press the “File Claim” tab. After that, follow the instructions to submit a form.

To file a claim by mail, print a copy of the Claim Form from Deepwaterhorizonmedicalsettlement.com and submit the form to Deepwater Horizon Medical Benefits Claims Administrator, 935 Gravier St., Suite 1400 New Orleans, LA 70112. You must file a claim one year after the Medical Benefits Settlement becomes effective.
