Diamond Foods’ Kettle Brand products need no introduction. They have become a household name in the United States. Diamond Foods Inc. cheated its customers using false and misleading statements on package labels. People who bought certain Kettle Brand products in the past may eligible to get reimbursement as part of Kettle Natural Chips Settlement. Diamond Foods Inc. has agreed to settle a class action lawsuit by paying $3 million for compensation.

Who are Class Members of Kettle Natural Chips Settlement?

U.S. residents who bought certain Kettle Brand tortilla chips, potato chips and TIAS chips for personal or household use between January 3, 2010 and February 24, 2015 are the Class Members of the settlement.

  • "Nothing artificial"

  • "Natural flavors"
  • "A Natural Obsession"
  • "Real food ingredients"
  • "Reduced Fat"
  • "___ % Less Fat"
  • And/or any other derivation of “natural”

Claims

Plaintiffs filed a class action lawsuit against Diamond Foods Inc. claiming that the company falsely labeled its Kettle Brand tortilla chips, potato chips and TIAS chips as natural, nothing artificial, and non-GMO on package labels. These Kettle Brand products contain unnatural, synthetic and/or artificial ingredients. Thus, the company violated certain laws. Diamond Foods did not admit any wrongdoing but ready to settle the lawsuit to avoid further expenses.

How to claim for Kettle Natural Chips Settlement?

Class members are required to submit a Claim Form with or without proof before August 1, 2015 in order to get benefits from the settlement. There are two ways to submit a Claim Form: online at ChipSettlement.com and via mail.

Class members can claim up to 10 purchases without proof. They have to submit purchase proof to claim for up to 20 purchases (Maximum limit).

Potential Award

Class Members can get $1 for every product they bought which means a total of up to $20.
