Claim for the CertainTeed Siding Class Action Settlement on certainteedfibercementsettlement.com as CertainTeed has settled a class-action lawsuit over the defective siding products.
CertainTeed Fiber Cement Settlement has reached a class action settlement. CertainTeed has agreed to pay $103.9 million as compensation to all the customers who own/acquired homes, residences, buildings or other structures that have CertainTeed Weatherboards Fiber Cement exterior siding since 2002 to September 2013. If you are one of the customers who experienced CertainTeed fiber cement siding problems, then you can get compensation of about $7,000. All they have to do is submit a claim form with a proof.
Plaintiffs filed a lawsuit against CertainTeed claiming that the company’s sidings are defective. Despite of being warranted to last for 50 years, the sidings are linked to several problems like shrinking, cracking, warping, bowing, discoloring, and in some cases they peel away from the structure. The company refused these claims, but agreed to pay compensation to resolve the lawsuit.
Only CertainTeed Weatherboards Fiber Cement Siding, Porch Ceiling, Lap Siding, Vertical Siding, Shapes, Soffit and 7/16” Trim are involved in this lawsuit. The amount of compensation will be calculated on the basis of the damage to the siding, the proportion of the wall with damaged siding, the size of the wall and the age of the siding. To get compensation, you are required to fill out and submit a Claim Form along with all of the documentation it requests.
You can get a copy of the Claim Form at the official website of the lawsuit (www.certainteedfibercementsettlement.com) or by calling 855-332-3413. You can submit it online or via mail.
